Patrons

The most authentic homage to be paid to the major figures of the Country is to keep the memories of their deeds alive, to interpret the events they took part in and follow the example they left us.

The magistral lessons evoked from their unique existence do constitute the immortal sap that strengthens beliefs, invigorates powers for the crossing of the present, and inspires the quest for the future.

Patron [from Medieval Latin patronus. First use: 14th Century]. The chief male officer or civilian personality chosen as a mentor of an armed force, a military branch or unit, whose name keeps the military traditions and the civic cult to national heroes alive.
